The James Webb Space Telescope has detected some of the most promising indications of POSSIBLE LIFE BEYOND EARTH!!! On a distant planet called K2-18b, approximately 124 LIGHT-YEARS AWAY!!!

An international team of astronomers led by Dr. Nikku Madhusudhan at the University of Cambridge has reported possible evidence of two remarkable chemicals in the atmosphere of a distant exoplanet: dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS).
WHY IS THIS SO EXCITING???
Because here on Earth, these chemicals are associated with LIVING ORGANISMS!!! DMS, in particular, is produced by marine microorganisms.
The researchers used the James Webb Space Telescope to study starlight passing through the planet's atmosphere. They believe K2-18b may be a so-called "Hycean world", a planet with a hydrogen-rich atmosphere and potentially a vast ocean covering its surface.
Could something be swimming around in that ocean RIGHT NOW???
WE DON'T KNOW!!!

University of Cambridge: Strongest hints yet of biological activity outside the solar system
Professor Nikku Madhusudhan is an astrophysicist at the University of Cambridge who studies the atmospheres of planets orbiting distant stars.
He and his colleagues are pioneering research into HYCEAN WORLDS, a potentially exciting new category of planets that could harbor life.
